October 11, 2010 "Hasler Brothers of Bastrop is great." - Likes it - This restaurant is great... there is no comparison. We try to eat at Hasler a couple of times a month and the food and service only gets better. I have eaten at Sullivan's, Eddie V's and Perry's in Austin. Hasler's steaks are comparable and at a better price. The crab cakes at Hasler Brothers are the best I've had...anywhere. Gabriel is awesome and if you like nice music, Ollie Shirley plays a great piano. I hear they are making plans for New Year's Eve, which is great for those of us who want to stay close to home. Hasler Brothers is a great restaurant, but don't take my word for it. Form your own opinion.
January 7th, 2011 "Hasler Bros. is the best steak house around. We have been waiting for elegant dining to come to Bastrop and we are pleased to say it is here. Chef Gerard has put together one of the finest menus in Texas and cooks a steak that is truly a cut above anything in Central Texas.... and his sushi is in a class all in its own."
